Big girl

We finally decided to put Josie in her big girl bed. She never tried to crawl out of her crib so I was fine with leaving her there. I figured I would try it and get her used to it before the baby came.

She is too funny, so not like Aidan. When we changed it over she was so excited, she kept saying, "My pillow!" She wouldn't even sit for story time before bed, she just kept going to her bed and laying down.

The first night I put her down and before I even made it to my room, she was right behind me. I told her to go back and she did with a little of crying and I told her to stay there. The next morning she just said, "Mommy, Daddy!" She wouldn't get out till I said, "You can come here!" Then you hear her say,"OK" with the sound of her little pitter patter. Too cute! She has not come out and still waits for me to say she can come down, even with nap time. I can't believe how big she is getting!

Tis' the season

I absolutely LOVE this time of year. I wish it could be longer. We put up our tree a couple of days later than usual but the kids didn't seem to notice. I enjoy watching them get so excited putting on the decorations (which I decided that I am going to get new ones next year because I do not like them), and listening to Christmas music.

They each get to take a turn, then just go for it. Taylor is the most particular one and remembers whose turn it is to put on the star, but Jimmy did it this year. (you can imagine the attitude that followed :)) Aidan just wanted to play with the train ornaments and Josie just thought that they were balls and decided to throw one. I am surprised that only one broke!

First Quarter

Taylor has completed her first quarter of middle school. She still loves it just as much as she did when she started. The boy craziness has settled down, thank goodness!! She brought home her first report card and has straight A's!! Good job Tay, we love ya. Keep it up!!

two

Words can't even explain what a joy Josie has brought us in the past two years. Josie turned two on November 16. She is one of the funniest kids I have ever met. She has always been so easy going and such a good baby, well that is till about 6 weeks ago she hit the terrible twos!!! It is so funny, she has so much attitude but in a funny way. I think she knows that. We are so in for it. The picture explains it all! She would not give me a smile for anything! I guess, "it is her party and she can cry if she wants too!!" We love you Josie so much and hope you have a good birthday. Here are a few things that make you, you!!

*you have such good manners. you say thank you for everything!
*you know which doggie you want to sleep with and won't take anything else. that goes for anything else in life
*you grab peoples cheeks to give kisses
*you always ask for hugs
*you LOVE to eat, you will try anything
*you love the slide. that is the first thing you say when we go to the park
*loves the color blue and buzz from toy story
*itches all over from your eczema, poor baby
*you talk like crazy
*the girliest tom boy I know, you are so rough and tough but you will be rough and tough with heels and a purse!!
*so independent. you have you do everything,"e-self" I swear I hear that 20 times a day.
*loves, loves, loves dogs. I am so sad that you are so allergic. Anybody want Chance??
*you make the funniest faces
and much, much more!!!

Cupcakes

My parents were in town this weekend so we decided to do cupcakes a day early. I am sure no one would mind right?! We of course had to have blue cupcakes. For some reason that is Josie's favorite color right now. She picks everything blue! So of course I got her everything girlie!

What is more girlie than dress up shoes? She loved them and of course shouted, "shoes"!There were so many to choose from? But you guessed it, she picked the blue ones! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!
She is always trying to take Aidan's back pack so we got her her own. She loves it as much as we thought she would. She stopped playing with it for a second to notice her cool boots we got her and said, "shoes"
And after the hours of work on her tutu, she decided it wasn't as cute as I thought it was and it went straight on the floor! :(
She was the most excited about the stuffing that was in the back pack!Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Josie, happy birthday to you!!mmmm.....Kisses!!??She finally played with the tutu!! Isn't she tutu cute!

Her new obsession is Toy Story so she carried Woody around all night.

We are going to through Aidan and Josie a joint birthday party next month, I can't wait to see how excited she gets! Love ya Juju!

I kicked the ball!!!

So I am done with trying to get Aidan to play soccer but I still take him to practice so he can learn that he can't just quit. A couple of weeks ago at practice I was dealing with Josie and I turn around and Aidan is on the field playing!!! I am not sure what clicked but he loves to play now. Game 5 he didn't warm up until half time but game 6 he was on the field when it started and played the entire game except for when he needed to sub! He absolutely loves to play now. He still doesn't get the concept of kicking the ball into the goal but he tries his lil heart out! He runs up and down the field and kicks the ball whenever he can!
He tried goalie for a minute. He didn't do so well but he had fun and got to kick the ball without everyone else around!

He was so proud that he played and had to make sure we were watching!!!
Listening so closely to Coach Jeremy!
Go Super Stars!!!

Pie anyone?

Josie is seriously the messiest eater ever!!! She licks her plate and everything! Anyone want to clean her up next time?!

Halloween 2009

JJ, Keara, Taylor, Josie, Braydon, & Aidan

This year for Halloween we went to Jimmy's parents ward trunk or treat. It was so fun to have most of the cousins get together but it seemed after dinner we all got separated and went our own ways. The older kids went together, and everyone else went in different directions. All in all everyone had fun and got tons of candy.
Taylor went as Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty. She wasn't too happy about it at first but after all night of people telling her that she was "so pretty"! she decided her gate project was a good idea after all.
Aidan went as "Little Frankie". I think he was the cutest lil Frankenstein. He was getting way into it this year but he did not like the witch to get to close!
Josie was in rare form that night. I decided not to give her a nap because lately she wakes up more cranky but it didn't work! She was not having any part of pictures or her hat. She was Raggedy Ann this year. So this was her pic not liking anything and the next two are her being silly and still not wanting pics!
How does a child that young learn to stick out her tongue and be silly for pics??!!
But I finally got a semi good picture with a little bribery with some candy! Isn't she the cutest Raggedy Ann?!
After awhile they were really getting into it. Aidan wasn't shy this year and kept saying that he was Aidan and this was his sister Josie, after saying Trick or Treat of course. Josie was a crack up she thought it was so fun to run to the next car and say."Trick or Treat, Thank You!" all in one breath.
Taylor, Josie, Aidan Halloween 2009
I think the kids had fun hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Hall and their cousins. I know Taylor had a blast going off with Keara and acting like a young adult. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Quarterly Birthdays

It was that time again with the Hall's, (Jimmy's parents) quarterly birthdays. I love when we all get together. This time they decided to do a luau theme with some lunch. Way fun seeing everyone try to hula. It was Josie's turn for a cupcake. She actually tried to blow out the candle this year but didn't quite blow it out so of course, big brother helped her out.

pumpkins

Every year I try to find something other than carving pumpkins because there are just to many to carve and scoop out. This year we decided to just paint them. The kids didn't seem to mind and had fun just making a mess!! Each of them decided what they wanted and Jimmy drew what they wanted.

Taylor wanted a witches hat. Then she added a moon and broom later. Turned out very cute.
The little ones can't stay in the lines very well, so they did the best they could and then we just flipped it over and let them paint all over!! They had fun.

Aidan wanted a spider.
We just picked the original jack-o-lantern face for Josie and of course it had to be blue.
I think they turned out very cute and they had fun painting even if it was more on the back of the pumpkins!!

All dressed up and nowhere to go!

Okay so we had somewhere to go but Aidan didn't care. So here we are game three and Aidan does not even want to step on the field, and he didn't, not even for one second! Game two he was sick and game three was at 8am and he was NOT having it!!! Normally I don't push it because he is only three but that day we woke up at 6am to get to this game, Tay was at her dad's, Jimmy wasn't able to make it, so I was on my own and feeling like crap!! So needless to say we did not have a good morning! He told me later that day, "Mom, I am sorry I didn't kick the ball!" Hopefully next week we can at least kick the ball just once!

No more "B"

Josie wasn't at all that attached to her binki the way Aidan was so I thought that it would be so easy to get rid of it. She would only take it when she slept. When she got up she would put it back in her bucket. No big deal.

What I didn't realize is that's why she was such a good sleeper. A couple of months ago I tried to get rid of it and she would wake up constantly. Well I was not getting that much sleep as it was so I gave in and gave it back to her. I have decided it is now time to take it away. The baby will be here soon and I need her to be binki free. So she willingly threw it away...
I don't think she realized that she had no more "B" for night time. (That is what she calls her binki) When it came time for bed she kept asking for it. I told her it was all gone. She cried for a bit but then her and Aidan started having a conversation, from different rooms, and she finally fell asleep. Not too bad. Then it was time for nap. That is another story. I am hoping this will go by really fast and she will go back to sleeping for 2 hours during nap time because it only lasted 30 minutes. Night two wasn't that bad either. A little crying and then she was out. I think we have decided not to give the baby a binki!! Hopefully by the end of the week she won't even remember her "B"!!!

All gone!!!

Pumpkin Patch

I love this time of year and we get to break out the pants and the kids have fun. We went to our annual trip to the pumpkin patch with our friends and the kids of course had a blast. I know I say this a lot but I really can't believe that they are getting so big and I still can't believe that we will have a new addition for next years pumpkin patch. Aidan loves trains these days and of course had to have sissy go with him, he wanted Juju to go to but there was no seat belt and you know my Josie, she would have jumped out.
Taylor loves to go really fast on these type of rides. I am just glad that I do not have to go with her. I think Zachary forgets every year that she goes entirely too fast for him because by the end of the ride....
he is done!!!

Aidan played in the bouncy for the most part. Thank goodness it wasn't that many tickets. Those places charge too much for those rides!
Josie was all over the place. I was very surprised she didn't want to do the slide, they are usually her favorite. So she just walked all around. To keep her entertained we would put her in random places, so here she is in the wheel barrel.

Aidan's first soccer game

The first couple of practices Aidan did really well with wanting to play and trying whatever his coaches said but then it all changed. When it came time for the game I thought for sure he would be fine but I was wrong. This is the face we kept seeing when we asked him to go play...
Eventually he went in but I had to be right by the side line. Then after a little more time past he would run in and kick the ball and run back to tell Jimmy and I he did it!! He was very happy that he kicked the ball!! We had to teach him to wait till the referee blew the whistle to kick the ball though. He just kept running and kicking it. Hopefully by the end of the season he will get the hang of it.

My Aunt Carolyn was my moms oldest sister, almost like a second mother to her. I am so grateful to have the knowledge of where she is and who she is with. Carolyn left this life surrounded by her family. I will always remember her laugh and smile. She will be greatly missed. We love you Carolyn, until we meet again.

A Day with Grandma and Grandpa

My parents were going up to Utah a day earlier than we were and wanted to take Aidan with them. I couldn't tell you who was more excited. My parents for getting to take him or Aidan for getting to ride in Grandpa's truck. This was the first time Aidan has ever been away from me overnight, besides when we had Josie. He didn't miss me at all. It was very strange just having Josie all day while Tay was at school.

So we took advantage of it. We did a little shopping and got a Slurpee! This also was the first time Josie and I spent alone time together, it was fun just us two. Taylor went to St. George right after school for a field trip and Jimmy had class, so it was just us two girls all day! I love that everyone had a good time! Can't wait till we can do one on one time on a regular basis with all the kids when the lil ones get a little older!

Weekend Away

My little sister, Kaycee, was in town visiting my parents, so we decided to visit for the weekend as well. It was so good to see her and have fun at the beach. They took her to a dodgers game and she had the time of her life. She lives in a very small town in Utah and the stadium was completely sold out, so needless to say she has never seen that many people in one place at one time before. On Saturday they went site seeing and saw some pretty interesting sites in Hollywood. Unfortunately she was too shocked to take any pictures. We were all able to get together on Sunday to go to the beach and hang out.

Here is the Barker family and yes I know I look double the size than anyone else in this picture. That is the reason you barely ever see any pics of me but I had to post my family because we don't get too many pictures of all of us. Me, Melissa, my Mom Tonya, my dad Glen, and Kaycee.

The kids had a blast. They love being with their grandparents, cousins, and aunt & uncle.

Taylor is my little water bug. She barely would get out of the water. She tried over and over to boogie board but she is still a little too scared of the water.

This is what we kept seeing all day...

As if her hand would stop the water from coming. Her and Kaycee had fun playing in the water. I love how close they are. They are actually closer in age than Kaycee and I.

Aidan is funny as usual, he would play in the sand all day if we would let him.

It wasn't till the end of the day that he would get even close to the water.

And then he kept wanting to go in and get closer and closer.

He loved trying to see his footprints in the sand.
Josie was her usual self. She had no care in the world. She wandered around chasing the birds
to playing with the sand all day.It was nice to get away and be with family and see such beautiful views...
we even saw some seals and dolphins. And what road trip would be complete without car pics right?!!

And don't forget the silly pics while waiting for food.

It's a ....

BOY!!! Now we will be even, two girls and two boys. Jimmy was right, he has called all three of them, he knew that it would be a boy. I went back and forth but there is no guessing now he was letting us all see that he is a boy! Now we just have to figure out a name. And if you know Jimmy, it is going to be a challenge, he does not like any of my names and he won't pick out any.

He is just too cute! He was flipping around being stubborn and sucking his fingers. The kids are very excited. I told Aidan that he was having a brother and pointing to my stomach and he says,"But I don't want to go in there!" Ha ha He thought because he is a brother that I meant him, silly boy. We can't wait till February to meet this little guy.

Super Stars

So we decided last minute to put Aidan in soccer with a bunch of his friends. He is on the 4 and 5 year old team but they allowed him to move up one age group. He is almost four! I really thought it would be like when Taylor started, playing with the grass, but I was surprised. All the kids except for a couple are playing for the first time and they listened very well and actually did what they were supposed to do. At least as far as four and five year olds go. I think he will get it and do good, we just have to work on..

no hands. It was so cute because he would keep turning around to see if I was watching and give me a little wave. He is just too cute. I was a little worried how he would react to the coaches since both of them are our friends but he did good! Can't wait to see him improve and have fun!

He was so excited to go to soccer practice

Coach Lauren, Coach Chrissy, and the team figuring out a team name. They decided on Super Stars.

Typical Boy

I was looking for Aidan for awhile when he told me that he was going to the bathroom. A couple of minutes past and he still wasn't out yet. So I go and find him and this is what I saw...What a typical boy! (He is playing Taylor's game, hence the pink!)

Middle school

I still can't believe that my baby is growing up so fast. I wish I could rewind time and have her be Aidan's age again. But since that can't happen I guess I will accept that I now have a middle schooler! She seems so grown up just in the short time she has started school. She loves switching classes, but not to fond of changing in P.E., she thinks lockers are the coolest thing, and she got into drama like she wanted. This is the first year she is riding the bus, which I absolutely LOVE. I don't know what to do with myself without driving back and forth to school. We will see what this year holds for us!

What we have been up to

It has been a long time since I actually wanted to sit down and blog or doing anything for that matter. We haven't been up to much. Taylor had fifth grade graduation. I can't believe she is that old. The principal started talking to them about choosing good friends and avoiding drugs in middle school. Are you serious!!?? I am so not looking forward to this step and just hope Taylor remembers who she is and makes good choices. She was excited to be done with fifth grade but not excited about only having two weeks of summer.

Mrs. Butler and Taylor

Taylor with her A/B honor roll and fifth grade certificate

Aidan was running and fell and ended up with stitches. I never would have guessed that he would beat Josie to the ER. It was not a fun experience. But I guess stuff like that never is. He was too funny, he kept telling the doctor,"NO doctor!" or "Doctor is bad!" Five hours and five stitches later we were headed to Sonic at 1 am to get Aidan some promised ice cream. He ended up falling asleep like I knew he would but Jimmy really wanted a banana split by this point. So being the good mom that I am, Aidan ate his ice cream for breakfast! Hey, my baby was hurt! Although I did try cereal first but it hurt his stitches according to Aidan.

Two weeks later they still weren't out (they were supposed to dissolve) so Jimmy and I took them out ourselves so we could go to a swim birthday party. He was not happy about that either.

Since Aidan couldn't go swimming we were very bored on our 2 weeks of vacation. Tay went to her dad's for a little while. We ended up taking Gia to the park so Taylor could at least have some fun. It was hilarious listening to these two girls talk about going to middle school!

Josie finally has a little bit more hair so we have tried some new hair dos. She is too funny. She isn't scared of anything but she freaks out when I spray hair spray. She will have to get over that real soon!

I ended up having to quit working because I was just getting too tired and too sick. I thought it would be this magic pill and I would feel better but I was wrong. I think it is funny how your body reacts differently to each pregnancy. I am starting to feel better but I keep getting these headaches that are killing me. My doctor gave me some strong stuff so we will see if it helps!

We went to our ward luau. I love eating Hawaiian food and watching the dances. I can't wait till little Josie is dancing like that. We even saw these little boys dancing pretty good. Maybe Aidan will be interested in giving it a try! In the middle of the performance the dancers go and grab volunteers and they grabbed Taylor. She so tried to get out of it but they wouldn't let her and she went up there and did a little dance. She is going to be perfect for drama.

We are trying to get rid of the binky so Josie only gets it while she sleeps. Well when she woke up I let her bring it downstairs and then I put it on the counter in the corner so she couldn't get it. After breakfast I cleaned her up, got her milk covered jammies off and the finished cleaning up the kitchen. I couldn't find where Josie went. Then I found her.....

She couldn't get down and kept smiling and saying,"B, B, B!"

That's about it during our short summer, or at least all that I can remember, I will post of Taylor's first day of school soon.

Party of six!

When I was young, or even when Jimmy and I got married I never EVER thought we would be a "party of six!" Come February, on Jimmy's birthday to be exact, we will be welcoming a new little one to our family! I have had a lot of mixed emotions but it is so funny at how that all goes away and your mother instincts kick in the moment you see the heart beat on the ultra sound or hear it.

We are excited for this next step but I am SO glad that this first phase is almost over, I really do not like being so sick, now it is the count down until we find out what we are having!

4th of July

The fourth of July snuck up on me this year, like everything else lately but I really LOVE the fourth and what it represents. I know I may have said this before but I have always thought of my self as a proud American but it wasn't until Jimmy was over in Iraq that I got a true meaning and love for the fourth of July. I am so grateful for those who go willingly to protect us and that we have the freedoms that we do have.

This year Taylor was at her dad's again. I had to work so I thought that she would have fun staying over there. We started the day off with the Schweitzer's for a little parade. It was so hot but I was glad we were invited and the kids got to actually do something for the holiday since they are so scared of the fireworks which you will see!

The kids had a blast sitting on the curb watching the floats go by.

Their favorites of course were Mater and

Ariel, and we can't forget the candy that they through at us!

And Josie was just content with sucking on the ice and

hanging out with Daddy.

Lauren gave Aidan a flag to wave during the parade. He so loved it. Doesn't he look so cute! Later that day he broke it and asked if we could fix it and we couldn't. He told us, "That's okay Handy Manny can fix it!!" Funny boy!

Later that day we went to lunch and visited my in laws. We waited for it to get dark enough to start the fireworks, but of course it didn't get dark enough until ten minutes before I had to leave for work. But it turned out fine because we only did two fireworks before the kids freaked out.
BEFORE
OUR FIREWORKS!!
AND AFTER!! Josie followed Aidan's lead.
But the big hit of the night was ...

Yep, pop its! Too bad we only bought one box!!!

Josie kept asking for,"More!" I can't wait for next year when we can really celebrate as a family. Happy Fourth of July!!!

Pump it Up

My friend and her play group went to pump it up the other day. I have never been and was so excited that I was able to tag along. The kids had so much fun. Aidan of course couldn't keep his hands to himself, we have a lil issue with that again lately! (I am so not understanding why he doesn't get it!) Josie is my little brave one. She immediately took off and played. She would walk in the other room and not even look back at me or care where I was. I love it though.
This is all Aidan did for awhile. Just jump in the opening and then he found...

the bike. He loves to ride everywhere. And then finally after walking up and changing his mind several times, he went on the....

big slide. He wouldn't sit on his bum, he just slide on his tummy. At least he had fun.
This is what Josie did over and over!!! I swear she went up and down at least fifty times. Then she found...
the cozy coupe. She is always playing with Aidan's at home. And then my brave child went on ....
the big slide all by herself on the first time. She just amazes me at her age. She had the biggest smile on her face when she was done.

The kids had fun and we ended the day with some Cafe Rio, couldn't ask for a better day.

Last week

We have been pretty boring lately but here are a couple of random things that we have been up to...Taylor had a music festival for her region at school, there were five schools. They all were pretty good, but her school had the most kids so they were pretty loud. I can never get a good picture in the cafeteria at school, but she is constantly looking around while she sings. She got to be picked to go up front a do a little dance thing. It was the last performance of the year. They did a great job, I just wish the little ones weren't so loud during the performance. One day! (that is what I keep telling myself)

As I was downloading I found this picture. Apparently the kids were playing with my camera. This is the only one that turned out. I must say it is pretty dang cute. Josie LOVES her doggies!! And that is her new smile, she says ,"CHEESE"
Taylor had a Daddy Daughter dance at school. It was actually a luau. She was so excited to where her little wrap and to go a dance. She had a blast hanging out with her friends and her dad.

A Boy and his Flashlight

Aidan is too funny. His new favorite thing is to play with his flashlight. He is constantly bringing it everywhere. We even caught it down his pants. He had a bright blue light in his pants, we were all cracking up. Jimmy asked him what he wanted from the store (the usual answer is m&m's) and he said,"batteries!!!" He leaves it on all the time we are constantly replacing them. Funny boy!

New Look

Taylor is in LOVE with her new glasses. I really didn't want to buy any until next school year started but the girl couldn't see anything far away. We got a deal on two pairs of glasses and didn't pay much more than we did when we had insurance for one pair. She looks so grown up now but I must say that these glasses look so much better than the other glasses did.
She can't decide which ones she likes more. The brown ones have diamonds on the side. Every day she asks,"Which ones should I wear, the brown ones or the black ones?" She is so silly.

I personally think they look pretty similar but whatever one she wears she is so cute!

Funny kids

I really wish I would write down more of the funny things my kids do. Here are a few from this week.

Taylor has informed me of her plan for the future. In five years, she will be able to drive. Two years after that she will be a legal adult. One year after that she will be in college. Two years from that she will go on her mission. After that she will be on the Bachelorette, marry some guy named Jake or Chuck (random, yes I know). And then have twins, a boy and a girl. Crazy girl!

Aidan has not wanted to eat any dinner lately. So his latest try to get out of eating his food is:

M: Aidan eat your food
A: No
M: You better eat or no snacks
A: I can't, there is a spider in it!

He is also getting so dark. We have only been outside a couple of times and he is so tan. Gotta love the Hawaiian gene. I really thought that Josie would have him beat but he is looking pretty dark. Jimmy was looking at Josie's legs the other day and noticed that her legs were darker than his! Funny how you loose your color when it doesn't see the light of day.

Josie has been on this nose picking kick and driving me crazy!! She will leave it on her finger and come to me and say." Here, boo-r" At least she gives it to me instead of wiping it somewhere or eating it. Not only is she picking her nose but shoving anything up there. Taylor or Aidan never put anything up their nose or in their mouth. I hope this phase goes by quickly because I do not want to be going to the doctor's to get something out of her nose!

Our Week

It seems that I have been very busy this week but not very productive. Of course we started our week off with laundry on Monday. Nothing to exciting there. Tues was our lazy day. After naps, Jimmy and I went to the grocery store. Not my favorite thing to do but especially for the fact that I had to go to three stores to find cream of chicken. Seriously did everyone and their mom cook with cream of chicken that week?!

Wednesday I actually headed back to the store because of course I forgot something, which is not rare these days. Then took the kids to the park by the house. They were not diggin it. Probably for the fact that I forgot their towels, big surprise, and it was getting to be lunch time. We ran into a lady from our ward with her kids.

Thursday we went swimming with a friend. Taylor was so excited to be swimming. It took a good hour for Aidan to warm up but he eventually went in the middle of the pool. I was so proud of him. He stuck by sissy's side after that. Before Aidan got brave enough to go out there he was playing in the swallow end with a boat and then I hear this terrified scream and cry. Aidan was headed towards me and I said," Aidan what is it? Is it a bug, a bee, what??!!" He said,"A MERMAID!!! there is a mermaid!" I was laughing so hard, It still cracks me up even as I type. A girl that was in the pool had an Ariel doll that swam in the pool with flippers moving and all. The boy was so scared and thought that there was a real mermaid in the pool! Ha ha.

Josie still amazes me how brave she is. She just wants to be in the water. I will definitely have to get her some swimming lessons. She also kept sitting on the side of the pool and putting her feet in the water, it was too cute. While we were swimming something happened to Taylor's glasses. I am not sure what or how but they completely fogged up. They will not get clear, no matter how many times we clean them. She was due for some new ones anyway.

Friday we spent the day doing errands and going to lunch with my mom. It was a fun day. She is moving back to California next week and I am very sad but happy for her. It only means that I will have to start making more trips to Cali to see her and my sister.

Saturday we woke up bright and early (to beat those dang lines!!ha ha) to run my first 5K. So Jimmy , Lauren , and I were off! Going into I knew I would be last out of those two, but I was still proud of myself. I have never run on the street before and I shaved around 4 minutes off my treadmill time. I was disappointed that I had to stop and walk to catch my breath some but I was so glad we did it! I hope my time goes down each time I do it! A big shout out to Lauren and Jimmy who received awards!! You guys are awesome, one day I will be right by your side!
After the race Jimmy's two brothers and the family went to the movies. It was a fun experience that we will NOT be doing again any time soon. Aidan was okay but we had to go to the restroom like three times and Josie was done after an hour or so, but she loved her some popcorn, and Taylor was mad that I wouldn't let her go the bathroom until we were done but she loved watching the movie.

We ended the week by going over to Jimmy's parents on Sunday for our quarterly cake and ice cream. I love going over there and spending time with everyone. What a week!

Field Day

Taylor had such a blast on field day. It started off by tie dying t-shits. Fifth grade got the color black. It didn't turn out so black, more like a purple, but she was still just as excited. For some strange reason she totally digs tie dye and purple is her favorite color. I didn't get to stay for very long but they had around fourteen stations of fun. From tricycle riding, sack races, shower relay, Frisbee toss, basketball hoops, to sponge relays. Her favorite by far was the tricycle races because she was the fastest and everyone was impressed!

After field day they got to relax and watch movies. What a great way to start track break!! She is off for three weeks. Both of us a very excited for that!

All girl

Josie just cracks me up. Every day her vocabulary and actions are getting bigger and bigger. While grandma was painting her toes, I decided to paint Bailee's toes while she was here. After I got done filing her toes I started to paint and I look over to see Josie trying to file her toes. Too cute! I asked Josie if she wanted me to paint her toes and she quickly replies"NO!!" (her new answer for almost everything) and pulls her feet away. Then she sees me get the paint out and instantly put her legs out for me. She did not move one inch. Funny girl. She was loving it, and was so proud of her pink toes. Aidan of course says,"I like your pink toes" or "Where are your pink toes Jos?"

Nail polish, purses, new outfits, or hair do's, can put such a smile on a girls face. What am I in for with two of the most girlie girls! I can handle it if I can see such a sweet smile!
